Visitor Center and Information Specialist (Part-Time) Multiple Locations:
Required to work at visitor centers in Stroudsburg, PA and Jim Thorpe, PA, possible coverage at Honesdale, Milford, Hawley Reports To:
Visitors Centers Manager
Summary:
Promotes the Pocono Mountains region and informs individuals visiting the region of the activities and amenities the Bureau's members provide Duties &
Responsibilities:
Answers all incoming information calls.
Provides callers with information on availability, reservations, and other tourism related requests.
Be knowledgeable on activities, events, festivals, and other happenings in the area Data entry inquiries Assists walk-in visitors with tourist related information Maintains/upkeeps brochures and clean, tidy, and organized center Assists the public in emergency situations Maintains accurate statistics and reference material Monitor the cleanliness of the Kiosks and bathrooms Perform other duties as assigned Ensure cleanliness outside/around building Cleaning and wipe-down of restroom/high touch surfaces (sinks, door handles, etc.
) Provide completed checklist to supervisor at end of day Track supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning disinfectants, etc.
) on a weekly basis and report to Accounting Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum three months of related experience Ability to write, read, and understand instructions Customer service skills Strong interpersonal skills Working knowledge of Microsoft applications Good computer skills Extensive knowledge of the Pocono Mountains region Ability to lift 30 pounds Hours per week:
10-19 20-29 Typical end time:
5PM Typical start time:
